Pushing for VSO

The Pushy Mothers team Kingston raised a fantastic £1,200 for Voluntary Service Overseas on International Women’s day with a sponsored walk in Richmond Park where they meet every week. The walk raised money for women who have little or no medical services for pregnancy and childbirth.

On the first really beautiful spring day of the year the walk from Kingston to Richmond gate and back again was completed with high spirits and a great turn out of around 20 Mums.

Local Pushy Instructor, Anna Coe explained how the team feel about their achievements, ??”We felt this was something we had to support, with experiences of our own pregnancies and childbirth so recent we could all imagine what it might be like to be alone without medical help. We feel great that we have made a real difference to real women and may have even saved lives.”? ?The team are hoping to make it an annual event.
